Solid stout with some vanilla and mild coffee bean hints. Bittersweety roast aftertaste. Wouldn't grumble if St. P handed me a pint of it at the Pearly Gates.

A 2.3% stout is probably an oxymoron, but lovely balance despite the low ABV. Could sink a few of these, and still be up and at 'em in 't morning. Those fingers on the label are making me feel very inadequate.

Some people rave about this beer, but look at the photo: flatter than someone who disbelieves in the sphericity of the Earth. And I'm yet to have a decent ESB on cask too. More bad luck than anything I'll wager.
