Michael Swanson is drinking a Blueberry Grisette by Jester King Brewery at Untappd at Home
Lightly tart & similarly funky, this farmhouse ale’s blueberry is made more pleasant, it seems, by the use of “Texas Hill Country Well Water”, in that the beer is a bit watery, but that isn’t a problem in any way.

Michael Swanson is drinking a Weihenstephaner Festbier by Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan at Untappd at Home
Pleasantly bready & slightly dry, it seems a but thinner than the Hacker Pschorr I just had; by comparison, I know that I prefer the former, & also suspect that this is what they mean by a matter of taste. Check-in (not unique) 10,000.

Rolls down smoothly with clean malts & Germanic purity.

Michael Swanson is drinking an Eventide by Bad Weather Brewing Company at Untappd at Home
Chose this beer & then realized it was 33 minutes before sunset. How appropriate for this lovely, deep tmave: roasty but not tannic, dark bread toasty, the slightest bitterness on the tongue in the finish. A great match for a smoked black pepper cheese.

Sweet bock, malty & full. Honey, maybe, in the mix.
